IronWanted is committed to making our marketplace usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology.
Our commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of abilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive differences.
What we do
We build and review IronWanted with accessibility in mind, including:
- Building with semantic HTML and ARIA so the site works with screen readers.
- Providing visible keyboard focus and full keyboard navigation.
- Maintaining sufficient color contrast for text and interactive elements.
- Using descriptive text for links, buttons, and images where appropriate.
- Ensuring forms have clear labels and error messages.
- Rendering content server-side so it is available without relying on scripts.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time task. We test as we build and review the site regularly. Some third-party content or older listings may not yet fully meet our target — we work to address issues as we find them or as they are reported.
